Now that the east coast tour of the Speech Server Days is done I am
starting to plan similar events for the central and western regions.
In the east we attracted over 100 people in the 4 cities. I would
like to see that number grow for the next round of events.
I wonder
what we can do to attract more people to attend the event. There was a
significant, but not atypical drop off between registration and
attenedance. Stuff always comes up. One thought is to shorten the
format to 1/2 or 3/4 of a day. I think the full day schedule may turn
some people away. The other challenges are securing the meeting rooms and
lining up speakers. Let me know your thoughts on the Speech Server Days
and I will take it from there.
