Microsoft Begins Testing Speech Server 2007

Internet News today announced that that Microsoft has begun testing Speech Server 2007.

Among the new features that were mentioned in the article are the Dialogue Workflow Designer and the Conversational Understanding.

The Workflow Designer is built on Windows Workflow Foundation and gives the developer a Visio like visual development tool.

Conversational Understanding is a natural speech recognition and processing system that sort of "fills in the blanks". In other words it allows for more natural speech on the part of the user and allows use to design more realistic sounding applications.

There is a link on our home page that takes you to the beta sign-up.

The beta is a closed beta and I'm not sure if they have everyone they need or not. It won't hurt to try.
