Speech Served Here
Welcome
to GotSpeech.Net!
Marshall Harrison
and I are very excited to announce our online community for Microsoft Speech Server developers
GotSpeech.Net. The participation on
the newsgroup: microsoft.public.netspeechsdk has been excellent but Marshall
and I noticed a need for an online
community with blogs, forums, and files (samples).
We
would like to thank the following people for their help in making this site a
reality:
Thom Robbins
for donating the domain name GotSpeech.Net.
And for his inspiration of the original site. (We have to get some of his original
materials up on this site!)
Landstar
for providing some of the hardware for our site.
Anandi
and the entire Microsoft Speech Server Team for supporting us and helping with some of the
software.
Community Server
and the team at Telligent for producing a great content management software
for free!
On
this blog I want to bring you tips and tricks, best practices, frustrations
(ok, hopefully not too many of those!), and insight into the world of
developing speech applications. I hope
to record in the future some interesting podcasts. The podcasts would include interviews of
other speech developers and their advice and insight into developing speech
applications.
Please
note that all the work on this site is done in our spare time and is not
affiliated with our employers. I have
worked for Intervoice for about 8 years developing speech applications and
continue to work at this great company now.
So, my comments do not reflect those of my employer (legal mumbo jumbo
stuff - you know).
I
look forward to interacting with you online and helping serve you in developing
your speech applications.
Brandon
